The most effective wavelength for disinfection is 265nm. Conventional UV lamps use 253nm for disinfection, and it is known to have similar effects to 275nm. When the same amount of light (power) is applied, 265nm has a higher disinfection effect. Deep ultraviolet UVC and UVB LEDs are supplied in chips or packages. Depending on the application, packages can be selected in dome type (with a spread angle of 60°) and flat type (with a spread angle of 120°). If the distance from the LED to the irradiation surface is far, the dome type can efficiently irradiate.
