The infrared position detection board is a sensor printed with crosshairs and circular sighting lines on a 3mm thick polycarbonate substrate. It emits visible light from the areas where infrared is irradiated, making it ideal for adjusting the optical axis of infrared. There are versions available in reflective (R) and transmissive (T). They can be secured to various fixtures using clamps, drilling, bolting, or other methods for installation on different equipment. Both versions have measurement lines marked in 2mm increments.

There are four types of phosphor: Q-11: Sensitivity wavelength 0.7–1.4um, peak emission wavelength 625mm (orange) Q-16: Sensitivity wavelength 0.7–1.4um, peak emission wavelength 485mm (cyan) Q-32: Sensitivity wavelength 0.8–1.7um, peak emission wavelength 650mm (red) Q-11: Sensitivity wavelength 0.7–1.6um, peak emission wavelength 640mm (dark orange)

The IR and UV sensor series from Lumitek International (LUMITEK) utilizes phosphors that apply "Electron Trapping." This phosphor absorbs and retains light energy when excited by short-wavelength light (such as sunlight or indoor light). Then, when stimulated by longer-wavelength infrared light, it releases the stored light energy as visible light. This emission is localized, and the intensity of the visible light depends on the amount of stored light and the level of the incident infrared light.
