We will introduce a case of obtaining antibodies that inhibit activity, which could not be achieved through animal immunization, using the phage display method called "Antibody Craftsman," specifically in the case of autotaxin. The reason why inhibitory antibodies against autotaxin (ATX) could not be obtained through animal immunization is thought to be due to the high conservation of ATX across species, making it difficult to establish inhibitory antibodies targeting the catalytic active site.
