By applying multiple points, it achieves equivalent strength when compared to spot welding and SPR in terms of shear strength. The only consumables are the die and punch at the tool tip. In Europe, it is commonly used for box-type fastening in vending machines, control panels, ventilation systems, etc. It can be easily assembled by anyone, requiring no specialized skills.
