In the context of the demand for CO2 reduction, we propose a new mechanical fastening rib clinch (RIVCLINCH) that uses only air as a power source, generates no heat, and does not use rivets. By applying multiple points, it achieves comparable shear strength to spot welding and SPR. The only consumables are the die and punch at the tool tip. In Europe, it is commonly used for box-type fastenings in vending machines, control panels, ventilation systems, etc. It can be easily assembled by anyone, requiring no skilled labor.
