Care222® is an antiviral and sterilization technology that combines a special optical filter with an excimer lamp that has a peak wavelength of 222nm, cutting out wavelengths above 230nm that can have harmful effects on humans. Ultraviolet light at 222nm is included in sunlight but is classified as UV-C (100-280nm) because it is absorbed by the atmosphere (such as ozone) and does not reach the ground.
