basic information

*Titanium dioxide: refers to photocatalytic action. *It is a general term for volatile organic compounds that become gaseous, such as benzene and formaldehyde, which are considered causative substances of sick house syndrome. Photocatalytic action of titanium dioxide | Discovered in 1967 through research at the University of Tokyo. When light hits titanium dioxide, it reacts with oxygen and moisture in the air, generating reactive oxygen species and reactive hydrogen species. These then oxidatively decompose or inactivate organic substances (harmful substances such as bacteria, viruses, VOCs, odors, etc.) that come into contact with titanium dioxide.
