It is mainly used as cushioning material for products and as support material for stacking. Additionally, it has resilience in cushioning performance and is gaining attention as an alternative cushioning material to expanded polystyrene. It has become an essential product in efforts to reduce plastic. Since it is made from 100% recycled paper, it can be disposed of as paper waste after use.

Company information
Showa Marutatsu Co., Ltd. is a long-established comprehensive packaging manufacturer that celebrated its 100th anniversary in November 2023. We develop products in categories including "paper tubes," "paper and plastic cores," "transport packaging," and "containers," with a focus on the manufacturing technology of "paper tubes." Among these, our "transport packaging" includes a wide range of products that can be proposed to both new and existing customers. We specialize in packaging design that combines primarily paper components to create lightweight, strong, and easily disposable solutions. We offer unique proposals that reflect our long-standing paper tube manufacturing technology, such as paper pallets made with paper tubes that have excellent axial compression strength. Since our products are mainly composed of "paper tube base paper," they possess strengths not found in regular cardboard, making them less susceptible to humidity. Most of our paper products are made from 100% recycled paper, allowing them to be disposed of as paper waste after use and return to paper form. We will continue to develop environmentally friendly packaging in the future.
