The permeator is a calibration gas preparation device that uses permeation tubes and diffusion tubes as sources. By maintaining the permeation tubes and diffusion tubes at a constant temperature, the amount of permeation diffusion and evaporation diffusion becomes constant. Therefore, by keeping both tubes at a constant temperature and supplying a constant flow of dilution gas such as air or nitrogen, calibration gas with trace concentrations is continuously generated. This preparation method is highly reliable for determining gas concentrations based on the fundamental physical measurements of permeation rate (permeation tube), diffusion rate (diffusion tube), and the amount of dilution gas obtained through the gravimetric method.
