SIAA (Society of Antibacterial Products) is an organization formed by manufacturers of antibacterial agents and antibacterial processed products, as well as testing institutions, with the aim of promoting appropriate and reliable antibacterial products. The SIAA mark is displayed on products that have been evaluated based on the ISO 21702 method and are managed for quality control and information disclosure according to the guidelines of the Society of Antibacterial Products. What are SIAA antiviral processed products? Products that are processed to reduce the number of viruses adhering to their surfaces are referred to as antiviral processed products. By conducting tests using influenza virus and feline calicivirus (a surrogate for norovirus) according to ISO 21702, it has been confirmed that these products meet the antiviral performance standards set by SIAA. (The performance standard states that if the number of viruses after 24 hours is less than one-hundredth of that on untreated product surfaces (when the antiviral activity value is 2 or higher), the product is considered to have antiviral effects.)
