Collaborative Robot Implementation Case | Returning to Domestic Production through Automation of Small-Batch, Diverse Production
Returning from production in China to domestic production! Automating dangerous tasks that are monotonous and require a large amount of labor.
To conduct low-volume production of multiple varieties, most of the production lines at Scott Fetzer Electrical Group do not operate every day. Introducing traditional robots to such lines was challenging from the perspectives of ROI and safety, as it meant that robots would be close to workers. Every morning, workers roll collaborative robots to the workstations where there is a need for production. Now, monotonous and labor-intensive dangerous tasks have been automated, allowing employees to focus on high-value, safe work in departments that require resources.
