10BASE-T1L Single Pair Ethernet HAT for Raspberry Pi
The SPE HAT / SPE HAT mini is an expansion board (HAT) that can turn a Raspberry Pi into a single-pair Ethernet 10BASE-T1L terminal. The SPE HAT is designed for standard-sized Raspberry Pi, while the SPE HAT mini is for the Raspberry Pi Zero. 10BASE-T1L (IEEE 802.3cg-2019) and Ethernet-APL, based on it, are new standards that can replace traditional field networks such as RS485, enabling the Ethernetization of all industrial networks. The standard transmission distance is 1000m, supporting a transmission speed of 10Mbps and power supply of up to 52W via PoDL (SPoE). It also complies with intrinsic safety and explosion-proof standards, and its implementation in plants and similar environments is anticipated in the future.
