A powdered ingredient containing antibodies against periodontal bacteria made from natural materials with evidence. It can be simply sprinkled on regular meals. There are examples of its use in pet food, among others.
This raw material is a functional food ingredient composed of yolk immunoglobulin (Immunoglobulin Y: IgY) found in egg yolk. Our precursor research institution, IRIG, focused on the maternal immune system of chickens and developed this product through 20 years of research. The research techniques have been patented, and numerous scientific validations have been conducted. The yolk immunoglobulin contained in this raw material acts as follows and exerts its effects: 1. Proliferation suppression: It inhibits the proliferation of Porphyromonas gingivalis in periodontal pockets. 2. Gingipain activity inhibition: It inhibits the enzymatic activity of gingipains produced by Porphyromonas gingivalis. 3. Adhesion suppression: Since the activity of gingipains, which are adhesion factors, is inhibited, it suppresses the adhesion of Porphyromonas gingivalis to gingival epithelial cells.

basic information
**"Porphyromonas gingivalis and Antibody Natural Ingredients for Periodontal Disease"** Porphyromonas gingivalis (hereafter referred to as gingivalis) is a major causative bacterium of gingivitis and periodontal disease (periodontitis). Gingivitis is a chronic inflammatory disease of the periodontal tissues, but if it progresses, it can destroy the tissues and bones that support the teeth. Gingivalis possesses a proteolytic enzyme called gingipain, which is significantly involved in the colonization of gingivalis, the destruction of gingival tissues, and the impairment of the host's immune system, thus advancing periodontal disease. Simply sprinkling it on regular meals can be effective, and good results were observed during the 4-week and 8-week follow-up periods. There are both "defatted" and "non-defatted" types available. We will propose the optimal raw material specifications for commercialization. Generally, when included in a liquid, the "defatted" type is recommended. However, since this raw material is a powder derived from eggs, if it contains moisture, corrosion will progress, making the use of preservatives essential. Additionally, caution is necessary regarding processing methods that may cause protein mutations, pH, temperatures above 80°C, and surfactants.
