Kurtz's DM-SMARTLINER is a system that transfers metallic foil onto toner or heat-reactive ink output from digital printing machines. This product is aimed at digital press users. It enables high-value-added foil transfer decoration on demand with ease. No molds (foil plates) are required for foil transfer. This eliminates the need for cumbersome processing preparation and adjustments, allowing for flexible handling of small lot foil transfer projects and proofs. Since the foil is transferred directly onto the printed design, it excels at transferring foil onto large flat areas, thin lines, and fine text. Thanks to the ability to transfer foil directly onto variable printing, which is a strength of digital printing, it is possible to apply foil transfer with different designs on each piece. After foil transfer with the DM-SMARTLINER, you can return the printed piece to the digital printing machine for 4C printing over the foil, enabling colorful metallic expressions.
