In response to the future environmental issues related to PFAS, we have started using PEEK coatings as an alternative to fluorinated compounds. Concerns about the environmental impact of fluorinated compounds have led to the search for alternatives. Among these, we present a product that does not contain fluorinated compounds and is a water-based coating made from the thermoplastic resin PEEK. It offers non-stick properties, slip resistance, surface enhancement, and chemical resistance as a fluorine alternative. We conducted chemical resistance tests with varying concentrations of sulfuric acid, applying the coating to SUS304 bolts, demonstrating chemical resistance, including at the edges.
