It may sound a bit confusing as I write this, but here are the processes involved: (1) Coiling of Ni-Ti (high elasticity, shape memory alloy) (2) Shape memory treatment (500°C) (3) PTFE coating The Ni-Ti alloy is known for its superelasticity, and we plan to develop products that leverage this characteristic. By applying a PTFE coating, the design is safe for insertion into the body. Additionally, PTFE allows for color selection based on purpose (please consult for color variations). As a side note, the current sample is intended for orthodontic purposes, and there was a request for a slightly yellowish white instead of a bright white, as the latter would be too conspicuous (though it would be a perfect match for Coach Shinjo). This also depends on user preferences, but in Western countries, due to high medical costs, there is a perception that "orthodontics = wealth," leading to opinions that some may want it to stand out more.
