The substances subject to risk assessment will increase from the current 674 substances, with an additional 234 substances being added starting from April of R6. Subsequently, around 700 substances will be added in April of R7, and approximately 850 substances in April of R8, with the obligation to conduct risk assessments being gradually expanded. Businesses that manufacture, handle, or transfer substances subject to risk assessment are required to appoint a chemical substance manager, among various other amendments. All facilities engaged in the manufacture or handling of the relevant chemical substances, regardless of industry or size, will be subject to these regulations. Additionally, local exhaust systems used indoors can also be maintained! Measurements of face velocity and maintenance of exhaust fans can be performed as well.
