Achieving high strength and low cost with friction stir welding. Usable in harsh environments such as support structures for offshore wind turbines.
Our company manufactures large titanium bolts that perform in harsh environments, such as support structures for offshore wind turbines and port facilities like piers, at low cost. By using friction stir welding technology, we minimize material loss and processing time to achieve cost reduction. We have achieved strength equivalent to titanium bolts produced by cutting. 【Features】 ■ The strength of the joint has been verified through tensile testing (failure occurred at the threaded section, not the joint) ■ Maximum producible size: M60 (size anticipated based on equipment capacity) ■ An environmentally friendly joining method that does not generate spatter or fumes is employed. ★ We are currently offering materials that introduce the features of our products and friction stir welding. basic information
**What is Friction Stir Welding?** It is a technique that joins metals by rubbing them together at high speed to soften them with frictional heat, while simultaneously applying pressure to fuse the atoms of the metals together. **Machinable Range:** - Round bars: φ10.0 to 80.0, total length 200 to 10,500 mm - Pipes: φ101.6 to 216.3, total length 650 to 10,500 mm (Other sizes may also be accommodated depending on specifications) *For more details, please refer to the materials.
