Active in power generation plants - IOW centrifugal oil separator
IOW centrifugal oil separator
Performance report from a power plant in South America. Improved engine reliability and productivity. Avoided unexpected downtime and reduced maintenance labor costs (budget) for equipment.
- Upgrade existing centrifugal separation technology to improve the cleanliness of lubricating oil. - Can be retrofitted to existing installations without the need for modifications. - Quick and easy installation. - Easy maintenance. - When used in conjunction with a remote access monitoring system, real-time contamination level checks are possible. - Better results with fewer resources used. In this power generation installation, excellent results of the IOW centrifugal oil separator were demonstrated compared to older centrifugal separation technology. By more than doubling the oil change interval, customers have been able to save on engine downtime, labor costs, and maintenance expenses. The IOW centrifugal oil separator has achieved a dirt removal rate of 8.7 grams per hour. Ultimately, the annual savings from extending the oil change interval can be substantial. According to calculations at the time of publication, with an average of 7,000 operating hours, an oil price of \$8.50 per gallon, and disposal costs of \$0.80 per gallon, this customer is estimated to save \$17,354 thanks to the IOW centrifugal separator filter.
