Case studies and measures for jetting in small lot PC injection molded products using simple molds.
It is important to ensure that we do not respond reactively, as this is crucial for cost and delivery time considerations!
We would like to introduce a case study regarding the measures taken to address jetting issues in small lot PC injection molded products made with our simple molds. Due to the close proximity from the side gate to the product, there were visible defects caused by jetting. As a countermeasure, we reduced the speed in the molding conditions and increased the mold temperature to make the jetting less noticeable. In addition to these measures, we also restricted the flow of resin with a core pin to allow it to spread in a fan shape, which helped mitigate the jetting issue.
