【Customer Requests / Issues】 - Due to the large number of supply parts for the production line, the various entry routes for parts at the parts input section cannot be handled solely by the conveyor. → It was necessary to plan the worker routes and the multiple concentrated parts flow. 【Proposal】 By utilizing the flexible design of the FCS-H300 guide rail, we constructed a space-saving transport path with a gate-type layout. We achieved overhead transport to the work input while ensuring sufficient worker pathways. 【Results After FCS Implementation】 The introduction of the FCS-H300 enabled automation of the production line, which was typically difficult, in a cost-effective and space-saving manner. The FCS Flexible Carrier System performs linear transport, planar transport (2D transport), and three-dimensional transport in three-dimensional space using a single drive unit. It travels along a track connected by guide rails in horizontal, vertical, and curved configurations via wires, and the carrier equipped with a chuck can be fitted with mechanisms for changing the posture of workpieces, pickup mechanisms, and more as needed. Since there is no need to change the grip on workpieces during transport, the need for numerous workpiece attachment and detachment mechanisms and transfer devices found in conventional transport systems is eliminated, resulting in significant cost reductions.
