Ultrasonic testing can be performed on materials with significant ultrasonic attenuation and noise.
A special transducer that arranges multiple elements (arraying) is used, combining the ultrasonic waves emitted by each element into a single ultrasonic beam. By controlling the emission timing of each element, the propagation direction and focal depth of the ultrasonic beam can be manipulated. This enables ultrasonic testing even for materials with significant attenuation or noise.
