We would like to introduce a case study on the implementation of the maintenance parts inventory management system "SmartF" at an automotive parts manufacturing company. The company had been managing maintenance parts for production equipment using paper and orders from various departments, which led to repeated duplicate orders and a continuous increase in excess inventory. As a result of the implementation, by centrally managing inventory with barcode labels and handheld devices, the company was able to reduce excess inventory of maintenance parts by approximately 1.2 million yen.
