We would like to introduce a case where the South Korean manufacturer Hansin upgraded to the high-strength weather-resistant steel 'Strenx 960 Plus' to meet the new demand for aerial platforms with greater reach. In 2012, the company switched from conventional steel to Strenx 700MC for some models. Additionally, they upgraded the materials for the booms, outriggers, subframes, and turrets of the 32m and 46m models to this product. As a result, they achieved a reduction in overall weight and improved resistance to loads due to the length of the boom. A senior design engineer stated, "Compared to the conventional steel we used before Strenx 960 Plus, there is less deflection in the boom, no buckling, and improved fatigue performance, which has led to enhanced safety performance."
