In the 4th session, we will focus on "creative thinking methods" and explain sdtech's approach to design engineering!
Traditionally, the fundamental strategy that has been emphasized in planning our company's products and services has often focused on "differentiation" from competitors' products and services, or on how to maintain "superiority." It was an era where employees dedicated their efforts to preventing commoditization in a saturated market. Times have changed, and the environmental destruction caused by "mass production," "mass consumption," and "mass disposal" has become a concern for responsible societies and companies that connect with younger generations, leading to a reevaluation of the purpose of corporate existence. Moreover, seemingly similar digital products are being disseminated through smartphones and video streaming, and some may be frustrated by advertising strategies that seem to deceive users' points of contact. *For more details on the column, please refer to the related links or download the PDF. We aim to develop products and services with high UX through design consulting that generates ideas and designs using a human-centered design approach, and engineering that can realize (PoC, development, implementation) those designs. In product and service development, the challenges of what kind of system should be built and what kind of services should be provided can only be properly addressed through business design and planning, which are upstream processes beyond idea generation and requirement definition. To achieve this, the collaboration of both engineers and designers is essential. By having designers and engineers work together from the very beginning phases to design business and user experiences, we can create products that are user-friendly and functionally adequate, thus developing products that balance user experience and functionality. To realize this, our company focuses on having designers and engineers work as one team, rather than in separate roles, to pursue the creation of user-friendly products.
