Countermeasures for risks associated with cell enlargement! Functional materials to prevent thermal runaway

Explaining measures to reduce the risks of individual cells and prevent pack fires! What technologies are aimed at achieving standards and passing standard tests?

The document discusses "the risks of cell enlargement and the effects of functional materials." It explains technologies that prevent temperature rises from exceeding 100°C below the ignition point of the electrolyte (approximately 450°C), even in the event of thermal runaway due to internal short circuits, which is a standard that allows for smoke without ignition. It also covers technologies that reduce the combustion time of trigger cells and mechanisms such as inter-cell insulation materials and heat storage and release, which keep adjacent cells' temperature rises below 50°C of the thermal runaway initiation temperature.
