EcoPaXX is a high-performance bio-based polyamide developed by Envalior, using renewable castor-oil-derived feedstock. It combines heat resistance comparable to PA66 with significantly lower moisture absorption, resulting in excellent dimensional stability. Thanks to its low sensitivity to humidity, EcoPaXX minimizes property loss and dimensional changes caused by moisture, making it ideal for precision structural and electrical components. It also offers excellent chemical and hydrolysis resistance, ensuring long-term reliability under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions. Available in unreinforced, glass-fiber-reinforced, and flame-retardant grades, EcoPaXX supports metal replacement, lightweighting, and CO₂ reduction strategies. It is a future-oriented engineering plastic that balances high performance with sustainability.

EcoPaXX is a partially bio-based polyamide available in unreinforced, glass-fiber-reinforced (GF30–50%), and flame-retardant grades. Its key advantage is the combination of PA66-level heat resistance with significantly lower moisture absorption, resulting in reduced humidity dependence. Mechanically, EcoPaXX provides high tensile strength and flexural stiffness, especially in glass-fiber-reinforced grades, maintaining rigidity even at elevated temperatures. Reduced moisture uptake helps preserve dimensional stability and fastening strength over time. Thermally, EcoPaXX offers a melting point of around 250 °C and high heat deflection temperatures, enabling use in demanding thermal environments. It also shows excellent resistance to thermal aging and heat cycling. From an environmental perspective, EcoPaXX exhibits good resistance to oils, fuels, coolants, and various chemicals, along with excellent hydrolysis resistance. Electrical insulation performance is also high, and UL94 V-0 flame-retardant grades are available for electrical and electronic applications. Optimized for injection molding, EcoPaXX delivers good surface appearance, dimensional reproducibility, and stable quality in mass production.
