LAPONITE is a unique specialty additive made from naturally occurring inorganic mineral sources and is a layered silicate. ★ As a rheology modifier – LAPONITE can be added to the formulation of many water-based products, including paints and coatings, household cleaners, and personal care products. It imparts thixotropic flow properties to water-based products and improves stability, water floating, sedimentation, and separation. ★ As a film-forming agent – LAPONITE is a film-forming material used to create coating films with conductivity, antistatic properties, and barrier characteristics.
