AI Automated Design Solution - from re-use design to production drawings
AI Automated Design Solution
Turn your practical design rules into an automatic program: generate 3D CAD data and 2D drawings, then auto-inspect and issue the drawings - the whole chain from re-use design to production drawings, end to end.
WOGO's AI Automated Design Solution targets the design of machines, equipment, jigs, frames and support structures. We encode the practical design rules your engineers actually use - covering sheet metal, machining, welding and structural steel fabrication - into an automatic design program, then automate the whole chain from adaptive (re-use) design through to assembly and production drawings. By building AI into that program, design rules can be continuously improved and extended, enabling flexible design support that goes beyond a conventional fixed rule-based automation framework. Our goal is a design-assist program that learns each company's own design standards the more it is used. The solution builds on WOGO's track record in 3D x AI for manufacturing: CAD data analysis, drawing search, automated drawing inspection, 3D model generation from 2D drawings, and CAD automation. Those capabilities are combined here as parametric models plus AI. In Japanese manufacturing, the ageing of skilled engineers, labour shortages and shorter design lead times have made the transfer of design know-how and the automation of design work a major challenge - and creating new drawings and procurement drawings from past similar designs still involves an enormous volume of simple repetitive work. This solution is aimed squarely at that work. Scope of application and deployment options vary by project - please contact us for details.

basic information
KEY FUNCTIONS 1. Building the automated design program We organise the design rules for the target product and encode dimensional conditions, layout conditions, part-selection conditions and manufacturing constraints into a program. The result is a mechanism that automatically generates CAD data and 2D drawings according to the required specification of each order. WOGO engineers work alongside your team through this step. 2. Automatic generation of CAD data and drawings Your own design staff use the program to automatically generate 3D CAD data and 2D drawings for adaptive (re-use) designs matching new specifications. 3. Automated drawing inspection and design-rule checking Generated CAD data and drawings are automatically checked against design rules, manufacturing constraints and interference. Defects in the generated output are reliably detected, reducing rework and review effort. 4. Automated 2D drawing output Creation of the 2D drawings needed downstream - part drawings and procurement/ordering drawings - is also automated, cutting designer workload and supporting a smooth handover to procurement and production. 5. Flexible design changes and continuous improvement with AI Adding AI on top of the system allows design rules to be continuously improved and extended. SUPPORTED FABRICATION DOMAINS Sheet metal / machining / welding / structural steel fabrication. INPUT Required specification for each order; 3D model. OUTPUT 3D CAD data; 2D drawings (part drawings and procurement/ordering drawings); assembly drawings; procurement data. Note: supported CAD systems and data formats, pricing and implementation timeline depend on individual requirements. Please contact us for details.

Applications/Examples of results
TARGET INDUSTRIES Manufacturing, and the construction facilities / plant equipment field. INTENDED APPLICATIONS Jig design, equipment and machine design, design of frames and support structures, drawing inspection, adaptive (re-use) design and drawing creation - in short, design work where the same repetitive steps recur. In Japanese manufacturing, the ageing of skilled engineers, labour shortages and ever shorter design lead times have made the transfer of design know-how and the automation of design work a major challenge. Design of machines, equipment, jigs, frames and support structures in particular involves an enormous volume of simple repetitive work when creating new drawings and procurement drawings from past similar designs. EXAMPLE RESULTS WOGO developed a Welding Jig Automated Design System that automates the process from welding jig design through to the creation of procurement drawings. The user simply feeds a 3D model into the software; jig components are then placed automatically and procurement data and assembly drawings are output. This automates the mechanical, repetitive part of jig design, so that even staff who cannot operate CAD are able to arrange jig procurement. In the initial deployment, an 80% reduction in man-hours was achieved compared with the previous design-and-procurement process. (Source: WOGO press release, 1 July 2026. Results depend on the conditions at the adopting company.) FREE THEME CONSULTATION We offer a free consultation to identify which of your design processes offer the largest man-hour savings through AI automated design, and how to approach them as a PoC.

WOGO Inc. automates design work in manufacturing using 3D geometry processing and AI. Under the "Hacadly" brand we provide automated inspection that detects machining limits and interference between parts directly from 3D CAD data, automated drafting that generates 2D drawings from 3D models, CAD design automation that turns design rules and know-how into programs, and design knowledge AI such as similar-drawing search and an AI platform for design information. We also work with customers on collaborative technology development: 3D data analysis and editing, 3D scanning, and building AI data platforms. By reducing the hours spent on inspection, drafting and design - and by capturing veteran engineers' judgement criteria as a company standard - we help our customers pass on their design expertise.
