It is a mechanical element that transmits the rotational motion of the screw shaft to the linear motion of the nut through a planetary roller. The number of contacts and the total contact surface area between the screw shaft, rollers, and nut are significantly increased compared to ball screws, making it a transmission element with extremely high dynamic and static load capacity. It can be used as a substitute for hydraulic drive systems due to its ability to handle high thrust. Based on its structure, there are mainly three types: rolled roller screws, precision roller screws, and circulating roller screws.
