The SystemBase "SB16C1058PCI" is a one-chip solution designed for the design and manufacturing of an 8-port serial multi-port product that connects 8 channels of asynchronous serial communication to the PCI bus without the need for external logic. It features eight UARTs with a 256-byte transmit and receive FIFO, which reduces CPU load and improves data processing capacity, and includes dedicated control pins for global interrupts and RS422/485 auto toggling.
