basic information
【Lecture Overview】 Recently, due to rising prices and the growing global popularity of Japanese cuisine, there has been increased attention to Japanese agricultural, forestry, and fishery products and food, both domestically and internationally. However, Japan's agricultural, forestry, and fishery industries are facing many challenges, including a decline in food self-sufficiency and a significant decrease in the number of people engaged in agriculture. To address these challenges, many laws and regulations have been established and revised in recent years, marking a period of significant transformation for Japan's agricultural, forestry, and fishery sectors. Among these changes, the large-scale management of businesses and the consolidation of farmland are being emphasized, with efforts to engage in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries through large corporate management, including new entrants from different industries. This seminar will provide a detailed explanation of the legal issues to consider when entering the agriculture and food sectors and the management strategies after entry, discussing not only how to "comply" with the law but also how to "utilize" it for future prospects. 【Lecture Topics】 ■ Current status of Japan's agricultural, forestry, and fishery industries, and the uniqueness of the legal system in the agriculture and food sectors ■ Methods of entering agriculture ■ Considerations after entry ■ Efforts to enhance added value ■ Related Q&A ■ Business card and information exchange session ~ Attendance by members of law firms is not permitted ~
