**Lecture Overview** In the field of international shipping, progress is being made in the design of systems aimed at achieving net-zero GHG emissions by around 2050, primarily led by the IMO. As a result, the full-scale introduction of zero-emission ships is becoming inevitable starting around 2030. In this context, Japan is promoting the development and demonstration of next-generation vessels using hydrogen and ammonia as fuel through the Green Innovation Fund project as a national initiative.
