Thorough prevention of eye mucus and muscle injuries! Fluororesin coating to stabilize molding quality.
Thermo Pro Release
**Dramatically reduce defect rates** by imparting release properties and lubricity to the fine holes of the die. Shut out resin retention and adhesion, improving product yield!
In the extrusion molding of "resin packings" that maintain airtightness in general industries and the chemical and food sectors, the fluidity inside the mold (die) significantly affects product quality. If the slip properties of the die surface are poor, or if the resin stagnates or adheres, it can lead to the occurrence of "eye mucus (protrusion defects)" and "line scratches (line defects)" on the product surface, resulting in reduced yield. ■ Measures Against Eye Mucus and Line Scratches To prevent these issues, fluororesin coatings are often used; however, if they peel off early due to high-load resin flow, it defeats the purpose. Our unique technology, "Thermo Pro Release," is a coating solution that maximizes "adhesion strength" and "wear resistance" while maintaining excellent release properties and slip characteristics. Traditionally, the pre-treatment blasting (roughening) for coatings was difficult to apply to fine hole inner diameters of Φ10mm or less, which was a cause of early peeling. However, our proprietary binder technology allows for a strong adhesion that is more than three times the strength of typical fluororesin coatings. ■ Introduction Effects It effectively shuts out resin stagnation and adhesion inside the die, thoroughly preventing the occurrence of eye mucus and scratches. This stabilizes the quality of delicate molded products and directly contributes to a significant increase in the good product rate in manufacturing sites.

basic information
**Coating Brand Name** High Durability Fluororesin Coating "Thermo Pro Release" **Main Features** Top-tier non-stick properties (release properties), excellent sliding properties, ultra-strong adhesion, overwhelming wear resistance **Applicable Shapes for Processing** Small diameter and fine hole inner diameter surfaces (can accommodate diameters of 10mm or less), complex shapes of molds and jigs *Note: Depending on the length and shape of small diameter pipe structures, it may be difficult to accommodate.* **Characteristics of Film Properties** ■ Adhesion Performance More than three times that of typical fluororesin coatings (strong adhesion even on low roughness metal substrates that are difficult to blast treat) ■ Wear Resistance By employing a special binder resin with excellent wear resistance and adjusting the mixing ratio, we have achieved more than double the wear resistance lifespan of conventional coatings ■ Maintenance of Resin Fluidity Uniform film formation allows for molding without disrupting the flow balance of multi-layer (such as two-layer structures) resins

Applications/Examples of results
【Applications】 ■ Die, die, and nozzle components for resin extrusion molding machines (especially molds with fine holes and small diameter inner diameters) ■ Molding jigs, screws, and guides for molten resin, rubber, elastomers, etc. ■ Manufacturing equipment parts that slide continuously under high temperature and high pressure conditions, where early peeling and wear are issues. 【Examples of Achievements】 ■ Applied "Thermo Pro Release" to a die for a resin extrusion molding machine that produces two-layer structure packings (with fine hole inner surfaces of less than Φ10mm). ■ Before introduction: Resin debris accumulated and adhered near the die outlet and inner diameter. Resin chunks that peeled off during molding adhered as "eye boogers (protrusions)" or caused "groove marks" in the extrusion direction, leading to frequent appearance defects. Yield significantly deteriorated. ■ After introduction: Thanks to the high release and lubrication performance of "Thermo Pro Release," resin flows smoothly without accumulating in the narrow die interior. ■ Effect: The occurrence of eye boogers and groove marks has been particularly eliminated, resulting in a dramatic improvement in product quality rate (yield). Stable molding quality can be maintained.

Nikken Coating Industry Co., Ltd. has been a specialized manufacturer of functional coatings for contract processing, earning the trust of customers across various industries for 79 years since its founding. We leverage our processing technology to maximize the properties of fluororesins, such as non-stick, lubricity, and chemical resistance, providing high-performance coatings that directly address customer challenges, including "Thermo Pro Release" for thermal welding processes and "NonStick STC" for blades and precision molds. In recent years, in response to movements regarding regulations on fluorinated compounds (PFAS), "PEEK resin," which is gaining attention as a substitute for fluororesins, has become a focus. Nikken Coating Industry commercialized the world's first PEEK resin coating, "PEEKCOAT," in 1999. Based on the solid knowledge and know-how accumulated over more than 20 years, we are further intensifying our research and development efforts to explore the potential of next-generation PEEK coatings! We aim to be recognized as "the go-to for PEEK coatings" and will continue to lead the way. As "the best partner for functional coatings that builds trust through technology," Nikken Coating Industry will continue to contribute to the creation of high-quality, high-performance products.
