This is a floating unit for ball screws born for ultra-precision feeding.
The joint mechanism arranged in the XY direction cancels out factors affecting feed accuracy such as tilt of the mounting surface, alignment errors, and screw axis runout. It significantly alleviates pitching, yawing, and rolling discrepancies in the precision feed mechanism. It is especially effective when combined with air slides. The steel balls in the joint section are oversized to provide appropriate preloading, preventing backlash in the feed direction. Many functions are condensed into a compact body, taking up less space compared to traditional methods that combine leaf springs. Designs can be tailored to fit your mounting space.
