We would like to introduce a case where we proposed materials and surface treatments to shorten the vacuum reach time. There was a challenge to reduce the vacuum reach time in analytical instruments. Therefore, we determined that a higher level of cleanliness would be beneficial and proposed high-purity materials along with a suggestion to improve surface roughness through electropolishing. After the improvements, we successfully achieved not only a reduction in vacuum reach time but also higher quality analytical results compared to before. We were able to shorten the vacuum reach time by approximately 20%.
