[Proposal Example] Addressing Cost and Delivery Challenges with Materials and Surface Treatment
Achieved a target Ra of 0.4 or lower with cutting processing and electro polishing! A case study that reduced polishing costs by approximately 50%.
We would like to introduce a case where we proposed materials and surface treatments to address cost and delivery challenges. In gas valves, composite polishing was being performed to improve the surface roughness of the gas contact area, but it had issues with high costs and time consumption. Therefore, we approached the problem from the material perspective and proposed a finishing process of electropolishing combined with passivation treatment. By achieving the target Ra of 0.4 or lower through cutting and electropolishing, we were able to create a budget-friendly lineup of products compared to conventional composite polishing, contributing to increased capacity. [Case Overview] ■ Challenges - Composite polishing was being performed to improve the surface roughness of the gas contact area in gas valves, but it was costly and time-consuming. ■ Effects - Polishing costs were reduced by approximately 50%. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
