High-precision control of optical power. Up to 100dB optical attenuator compatible with BERT testing and WDM evaluation.
The OVA-100 is an optical attenuator characterized by high precision and excellent reproducibility, available in benchtop or rack-mounted configurations. It can be utilized for adjusting optical output levels in automatic test systems, from research and development to mass production testing, such as bit error rate testing (BERT) for transceivers and variation compensation for each wavelength channel in WDM systems. It achieves high reproducibility of ±0.01 dB and a wide dynamic range of up to 100 dB. Operation is supported via a touch screen on the front panel or remote control through USB and Ethernet. The OVA series attenuators operate in the wavelength range of 1200 to 1700 nm for single mode and 750 to 1700 nm for multi-mode. Additionally, by adding a photodiode (PD) for power monitoring, it can automatically adjust to the set power level while monitoring output power, thereby establishing a stable testing environment.
