basic information
【Lecture Overview】 Since 2000, the "Shin-Kawasaki: Forest of Creation" has been gradually developed, housing Keio University’s Shin-Kawasaki K2 Town Campus and one of the largest incubation facilities in the metropolitan area, "KBIC." It has grown into a science park where numerous research and development-oriented startups are concentrated. In this lecture, we will introduce the overall initiatives of the "Quantum Innovation Park," which was launched in 2021 following the operation of Asia's first gate-type commercial quantum computer at Shin-Kawasaki: Forest of Creation. In addition to collaborative efforts among industry, academia, and government centered on cutting-edge quantum technology, we will also share information about the innovation hub development project aimed at accumulating "knowledge" and "talent" in the fields of quantum, AI, and semiconductors, looking towards the next generation. We will explore the potential for further growth and development of this area, as well as new business opportunities, based on a quarter-century of progress and the future industrial landscape shaped by quantum technology. 【Lecture Topics】 ■ Characteristics of Kawasaki City's Industry ■ About Shin-Kawasaki: Forest of Creation ■ Kawasaki City's Initiatives Aiming for the "Quantum Innovation Park" ■ Innovation Hub Development Project at Shin-Kawasaki: Forest of Creation ■ Efforts Towards Building an Innovation Ecosystem ■ Related Q&A ■ Business Card and Information Exchange Meeting
