Crack depth gauge

Non-destructive measurement of the depth of cracks that occurred in the metal.

The ET-28 is a crack depth gauge designed to measure the depth of cracks that occur in metals such as iron, stainless steel, and aluminum. It is capable of measuring the depth of cracks not only in iron and stainless steel but also in aluminum. The measurement range is from 0 to 100 mm, and it supports multi-point calibration with a maximum of 8 points, making it suitable for a wide range of measurements from shallow to deep cracks. Additionally, for iron and stainless steel, it offers a resolution of 0.01 mm in the range of less than 10 mm. While methods such as eddy current testing, magnetic particle testing, and penetrant testing can detect the presence and location of cracks, evaluating the depth of those cracks can be challenging. By using a crack depth gauge in conjunction with these methods, the depth of detected cracks can be confirmed on-site, aiding in the decision of whether repairs are necessary and what repair methods to consider. It is suitable for measuring the depth of cracks that occur in shafts, rolls, rods, molds, equipment, and machine parts. The measurement process is very simple; by just making contact with the probe across the crack, the crack depth can be immediately confirmed.
