basic information
**Lecture Overview** In order to commercialize the hydrogen business, it is essential not only to reduce production costs but also to establish a mechanism that can monetize its value as a business. This lecture will view the hydrogen market not merely as a trading market for fuel, but as a system for evaluating and recovering the value associated with hydrogen. It will be organized from three perspectives: (1) the decarbonization value of fuel, (2) the value of improving the environmental and stability aspects of the entire energy system, and (3) the value for regional economies and industrial promotion. Based on the speaker's experience in examining environmental value transfer schemes and exploring cases for utilizing by-products of water electrolysis, the lecture will discuss the challenges and directions for institutional design toward the commercialization of the hydrogen business, as well as approaches for business development. **Lecture Items** ■ Challenges for the commercialization of the hydrogen business ■ Organization of the value generated by hydrogen ■ Examples of activities to internalize value in the market ■ Summary ■ Related Q&A ■ Business card exchange and networking (for on-site participants only)
