We would like to introduce a case where Showa Pax Co., Ltd., which manufactures re-packaging bags and film products, has implemented "VideoStep." With only OJT and paper-based training, it was difficult to fully convey the skills of veteran employees, and the development and retention of younger staff became a challenge. Additionally, there was a problem where the content of explanations varied depending on the instructor. To address this, we converted the perspectives and judgments of veterans into videos, allowing training to be conducted while watching the same footage. As a result, the learning process accelerated, with some individuals mastering basic tasks in about three months, achieving standardization of the training content. 【Challenges】 ■ OJT and paper manuals were insufficient to convey the characteristics and fine adjustments of each machine. ■ The content of explanations varied depending on the instructor, hindering the planned development of younger staff. ■ Communication between instructors and learners was not effective, impacting the retention of younger employees. ■ With the retirement of veterans in mind, there was a need for a system to pass on skills to younger employees. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
