basic information
【Lecture Overview】 Pharmaceutical patents tend to be filed internationally, with many cases of a single pharmaceutical invention being patented in multiple countries. On the other hand, there are differences in patent practices by country in the pharmaceutical field, which pose practical challenges. Therefore, this seminar will explain the international comparison of patent practices in the pharmaceutical field and future countermeasures. The lecturer is responsible for a series of articles on the patent systems of various countries in Patent News (Economic and Industrial Research Institute / Invention Promotion Association) until February 2026, and will provide explanations based on the results of research conducted during that time. Additionally, the lecturer is in charge of the ERIA "Research on Patent Practices in the Pharmaceutical Field in ASEAN Countries" (to be published in July 2026) and will also introduce the findings from that report. 【Lecture Topics】 ■ International Situation of Pharmaceutical Patents ■ United States and Europe ■ China, India, Brazil ■ ASEAN Countries ■ Future Countermeasures ■ Related Q&A ■ Business Card Exchange and Networking Event (for in-person attendees only)
