CABS Rotating Body Vibration (Dynamic Balance) Measurement, Monitoring, and Management
CABS:Compurter Aided Balancing System
It is a measurement and analysis device for axial vibration and phase of turbo machinery/rotating bodies. It is actively used for understanding dynamic balance, grasping the overall condition of the machinery, and field balancing.
■ Overview This device measures the shaft vibration of rotating machinery and assists in dynamic balancing adjustments. It primarily focuses on turbo machinery such as steam turbines, gas turbines, blowers, and pumps, as well as electric motors and generators. However, it can be utilized for any equipment that can accommodate sensors and can also be applied to operational state monitoring systems. ■ Features - Visualization of dynamic balancing using modal circles (Nyquist diagrams) - Calculation of optimal balance weights for up to six planes based on measurement results - Capable of linking with a long-term history management database - Can be equipped with a predictive detection algorithm [Utilize the experiences you have cultivated!] - Possible integration with external systems, including push alarm notifications and cloud services ◇ The signal input circuit of the main product is equipped with an anti-aliasing filter compatible with velocity-type vibration sensors. ◇ A lineup ranging from operational management equipment using acceleration measurement to portable balancers, field balancers, and continuous monitoring. ◇ Applicable to low-speed/high-speed rotating machinery (export overseas: prior consultation required). ◇ Additional measurement items, various function additions, and installation specifications for manufacturing site quality control purposes are also possible. ◇ Torsional vibration measurement is also acceptable (marine applications are available). basic information
Vibration can always be a source of trouble in turbo machinery. In the case of long shafts or when strong centrifugal forces are at play, the elastic forces of the shaft can disrupt the dynamic balance. However, it is not possible to test every potential operating condition that may arise in the future, so we must establish patterns and achieve balance accordingly. Being able to optimize quickly during this process is a crucial factor. We also recommend implementing a condition monitoring system for long-term history management. In addition to essential items such as phase reference, rotational speed signals, and shaft vibration waveforms, it can incorporate operating conditions like oil temperature and output, allowing for monitoring of operating conditions centered around vibration status. - I want to check vibrations at a slightly higher level during routine inspections. - I want to monitor vibration status remotely. - I want to conduct quality control before shipment. - I want to monitor the overall condition of the equipment. We offer a range of models, from portable models specialized in measuring and adjusting dynamic balance to permanent models that support quality control applications in factories and help detect early signs of trouble by collecting various parameters. This contributes to the preventive maintenance of various rotating bodies. While there is a trade-off with the number of sensors, we can accommodate long turbine generators and turbo compressors, as well as two-axis turbo molecular pumps. Applications/Examples of results
We started with vibration measurement and field balancing of turbine generators from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. In addition to the product images displayed, we offer various specifications tailored to different applications. As part of quality control in manufacturing sites, we have contributed to the management of vibration measurements for various rotating bodies, including: - Quality confirmation of the balance state of rotating bodies in manufacturing environments - Condition checks for equipment with rotational speeds ranging from low speeds like water turbines to turbo molecular pump levels - Quality confirmation of torsional vibration states for ship propeller shafts, among others. We can perform balance measurements for long rotating bodies, from a single measurement point to 16 points (bearings). Customization to meet customer needs is possible for all components, including hardware and firmware. CABS: Computer Aided Balancing System, is a device that incorporates customer insights, AI functions, and communication capabilities, ranging from portable temporary measurements to integration into your products. Furthermore, we offer systems that utilize cloud technology, providing a very wide range of solutions. Please feel free to contact us through the related links above.
