The mold manufacturer was able to secure a large order for die cushion pin specification molds with the support of the KALLER Korea team. Initially, this order for their own use was hesitated due to the lack of the necessary press functionality to properly operate and trial the cushion mold. This functionality generates the mold cushion pressure as pad pressure and clamping force within the mold, using an air or hydraulic-driven cushion integrated inside or underneath the press, rather than traditional springs. Fortunately, because KALLER Korea designed, manufactured, and installed the ram cushion plate, the mold manufacturer successfully avoided the costly investment of purchasing an entirely new press.
