In the automotive industry, responding to the European ELV regulations, as well as the utilization of recycled materials and the establishment of closed-loop systems, has become increasingly important. Envalior is collaborating with SECARA to chemically revert used PA6 back to its raw material, caprolactam, and is advancing the practical application of circular materials by utilizing it again as high-performance PA6. While addressing complex waste materials that include glass fibers and additives, the aim is to integrate this into existing PA6 manufacturing processes, supporting the balance between the performance required for automotive applications and circularity.

Specifically, although it is still a future topic, we are envisioning PA6 applications for automotive structural parts, electrical components, and engine room parts, which require high mechanical properties and heat resistance. By implementing a closed-loop system that returns PA6 recovered from scrapped or used automotive parts back to automotive applications, we support the improvement of the recycled material ratio while maintaining material performance and contributing to a circular economy.
