Remote measurement of direct current | Centralized monitoring of multiple locations and numerous circuits
DC Current Measurement and Remote Monitoring System "iDC-SVS4" | Hexacore Inc.
Supports centralized monitoring of multiple locations and numerous circuits. Measures direct current for each circuit, which can be used for remote monitoring and historical verification.
When equipment using DC power sources is distributed across multiple locations, the methods of verification and record formats differ at each site, making it time-consuming to grasp the overall status. The challenge is to consolidate numerous DC circuits into a common monitoring environment. The "iDC-SVS4" continuously measures DC current with sensors that support 30A, 50A, 100A, 250A, and 500A, and sends the measurement data to a monitoring server. Current values, load fluctuations, and historical data can be checked remotely, and in combination with monitoring software, it can also respond to notifications based on set thresholds. In the event of communication failure, the relay device temporarily stores data and sends it after communication resumes to prevent loss of historical data. Usage Scenarios: - Monitoring DC current for equipment using DC power sources - Checking current values and history of DC distribution boards and load circuits - Confirming inspection targets and notification status before site visits Expected Benefits from Implementation: - Understanding current changes over time outside of patrols - Consolidating numerous measurement points into a common monitoring environment - Organizing inspection targets and confirmation details in advance to streamline equipment management We will propose configurations based on monitoring targets, number of circuits, cable diameter, and installation environment.

Applications/Examples of results
Potential applications for utilization: It is suitable for monitoring the current values of numerous DC branch circuits installed in unmanned stations and power facilities distributed across multiple locations, which would be difficult to ascertain without visiting the site. By continuously recording DC current, it allows for tracking load fluctuations that may not be easily visible with just instantaneous values during inspections. Expected usage: - Aggregation and standardization of measurement information for each location - Pre-selection of equipment and circuits to be inspected - Aggregation of measurement information distributed across multiple facilities and locations - Comparison of trends before and after changes in equipment, load additions, or operational changes You can select models that fit the target circuit from DC current sensors of 30A, 50A, 100A, 250A, and 500A. Depending on the number of circuits and the scale of the facilities, you can also consider starting monitoring from critical points.
