Extract full-body motion from a single smartphone video V2M
V2M (Simple Motion Capture Tool)
Just by handing over a video taken with a smartphone, you can obtain full-body motion data. No suit, markers, or multiple cameras are needed.
This is a tool that generates full-body motion data from monocular (single camera) videos taken with smartphones and other devices. If you have one video that shows the entire body of a person, you do not need a special suit, markers, multiple cameras, or lighting equipment for filming. In addition to automatically exporting a verification video that overlays the captured motion onto the original footage, it automatically evaluates the segments of the entire recorded video where motion is stable and suggests high-quality segments as candidates. You can also extract just those segments. It can be used for motion capture from materials shot outdoors or from past footage and reference videos. The motion data is exported in a common animation format that can be read by major 3D CG software as standard. It is provided free of charge to creators who plan to register with 3Dasset.io or use assets from the site. When more serious filming is needed, you can step up to markerless "AR51" or optical capture.

Company information
IZUTSUYA Inc. digitizes real-world spaces and objects by combining 3D/4D scanning, centered on 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS), with AI. We adopted 3DGS in our work early, in 2024, and have recorded buildings, traditional crafts, plants, and even human gestures and dance movements as high-fidelity 3D/4D data. We provide an end-to-end service: capture, data optimization and mesh conversion, and publishing, sales and license management on our own 3D data platform, 3Dasset.io. From digital archiving of cultural heritage and infrastructure inspection DX using LiDAR point clouds and AI, to Location XR experiences that combine places with human movement, we help bring 3D technology into culture, construction, tourism and entertainment. We choose between DSLR cameras, 360-degree cameras, LiDAR and markerless motion capture according to each project, and work with research institutions to field-test new equipment and methods.
