basic information
**Lecture Overview** Organic metal halide perovskite solar cells, commonly referred to as perovskite solar cells, are highly anticipated as next-generation solar cells that can be manufactured using domestically sourced materials and can be installed in various locations across Japan due to their lightweight nature. At the laboratory level, the energy conversion efficiency of small-area cells has reached 28%, and production of large-area modules is also progressing. The government is supporting research and development through initiatives such as the Green Innovation Fund, and the 7th Basic Energy Plan has set a goal of introducing 20 gigawatts of perovskite solar cells by 2040. This lecture will provide a detailed explanation of the latest trends and future prospects for the social implementation of perovskite solar cells. **Lecture Topics** ■ Reasons for the expectations surrounding perovskite solar cells ■ What perovskite solar cells bring ■ Trends in technology development ■ Industry trends ■ Related Q&A ■ Business card exchange and networking (limited to in-person attendees)
