basic information
**Lecture Overview** There is growing expectation for "bio-manufacturing" utilizing unused biomass and CO₂ in order to achieve resource security and GX (Green Transformation). This lecture will outline the latest trends in synthetic biology and bio-economy strategies that support bio-manufacturing, and introduce technologies for efficiently producing biofuels and green chemicals from non-edible biomass and unused resources, focusing on the RITE-developed non-proliferation-dependent bioprocess "RITE Bioprocess" and smart cell creation technology. Furthermore, using initiatives such as the Green Innovation Fund and the Bio-Manufacturing Revolution Promotion Project as examples, the current status of social implementation through the utilization of unused resources, as well as challenges and prospects for future industrialization, will be discussed. **Lecture Items** ■ Technical background and domestic and international trends and policies in bio-manufacturing ■ Development of innovative bio-production technologies at RITE and their practical application ■ Social implementation projects utilizing unused biomass and CO₂ ■ Challenges and future prospects for industrialization and commercialization ■ Related Q&A ■ Business card exchange and networking event (limited to on-site participants)
